MY STORY
Creativity reigns supreme at The Big Orange House where recycling is taken to a new level! My home studio in Rocky Bayou is packed with found objects, donated bottles and collected treasures. Reclaimed windows and salvaged frames become garden scenes featuring broken bottle glass butterflies and button flowers…old dock boards are adorned with objects to spell out words of wisdom…canvases paired with scrap stained glass and collected shells remind us of a day at the beach. I don’t use patterns, and very rarely draw out detail before I begin. I let it fall into place, and while I remake concepts, each piece is truly an ‘original’.
So excited to invite you to CREATE with Big Orange House Designs! I am located in Pineapple Plaza@ 4652 Hwy 20E Suite 102 in Niceville....two doors down from my Retail location, LILY PADS INTERIOR MARKET! It is the PERFECT location, and I moved Mr. Big's Big Orange House Roasters into the adjoining space and opened JoJo's Coffee and Goodness! THIS SHOP FEELS LIKE HOME now, and I would love for you to come spend some time with me HERE!
I love bringing customer's ideas to life, so if you would like a custom piece, I would love to talk to you about commission work. ALSO, if you have items that you would like to incorporate into a piece, that is always an option! I have salvaged broken pottery, a favorite punch bowl, and even made a memorial with a spoon full of ashes.
