Big Orange House Designs - MORE THAN JUST GLASS ART!
I love creating SPACES too!!! Spending 23 years moving around the world courtesy of my husband's Air Force career, I ended up with lots of experience organizing and decorating homes. I also got lots of experience remodelling as we decided to use our short term assignments as an opportunity to flip houses.
My very first flip was a 1939 Cape Cod that we bought from the original builder. It was a precious home with a great floor plan.....but was extremely outdated. I hired contractors to come in and do the things that I couldn't handle......and if it was in my Reader's Digest Do It Yourself manual, I attempted it!
We bought and sold our way into the Big Orange! A litany of ups and downs, and lots of education gained during these projects. The BEFORE/AFTER process is very satisfying and a little addictive!
Now I use my personal experience to help others stage their property. I can do a one room shape up OR whole house overhaul. More often than not, I can rearrange and do a little adding and subtracting to give you a whole new look. Most recently, I have done three homes down on 30A for clients who were building properties for the rental market. Not only did I stage these homes, but I also purchased the furniture and decorative items that went into each property.
ALL OF THIS started when one of my favorite clients came to me and asked me to make her Seagrove rental property look like a home I would move into! I had a ball working with Greg Goodwin Builders, and did all the pics and color choices. It was the biggest project I have ever taken on......but I enjoyed it so much, I agreed to do ANOTHER home 4 doors down for another customer of Greg's a few months later. My latest was a REMODEL of a 3 bedroom/3 bath townhome in Watersound. HUGE project with a massive transformation using paint, new cabinetry in the baths and the kitchen cabinetry was painted to give it a fresh and light feel! My style is very eclectic, and I LOVE finding a Craigslist bargain and saving my client money!!! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY HIGH DOLLAR to have a house that looks like it could be in the pages of Better Homes or Southern Living!!! If you don't believe me, the two cottages pictured below (3 bedroom/2.5 bath) were each COMPLETELY FURNISHED for less than 19K.....and that included all my fees!
